MILKSHAKES FUNNELCAKES
In the new video for AWKWARD i's single "Milkshakes Funnelcakes," we follow an unusual search for happiness in New York. Directed by Michiel ten Horn and filmed by his friend and cinematographer Will Falize, the video begins on a beach where two very different men meet and form an unexpected friendship.
Ten Horn and Falize, who know each other from their Amsterdam days, clearly enjoyed this collaboration. Will's daughter plays a small starring role in the video, something that took some convincing. Djurre de Haan, aka AWKWARD i, who has previously created soundtracks for Ten Horn's films (including several Golden Calf nominations), inspired the visuals this time. In New York, Ten Horn met performance artist Matthew Silver at Union Square, which proved to be the perfect addition to the sweet indie track.
