René Mantilla is a Puerto Rican-Ecuadorian designer of luxury hats and leather accessories based in New York City. His handmade hats are worn by trendsetters such as Alicia Keys, Maluma, Nick Cannon, and Lewis Hamilton, to name a few.

As creative director, René Mantilla has maintained a fresh approach to his design aesthetic, adorning his pieces with a range of fabrics that completely transform the chapeaux into fashion staples in demand worldwide.

In this Lookbook shoot, photographer Will Falize and René Mantilla searched for complementary elements between product and location. The rawness of Brooklyn almost works against the high-quality material of Mantilla's designs, but seems a match made in heaven worn by model Nasan Fitz-Henley.
